Vascular-Web was created by ultrasound professionals and is committed to serving the field by focusing on vascular professionals.

Our mission is to create an environment that is the TOTAL RESOURCE for the vascular professional.

We bring together vascular technologist and sonographer, educators, schools, departments, recruiters, authors, publishers, and industry to be the vascular professional ‘s total resource on the web.

This site includes scheduled chat sessions, webinars, bookstore, career connections, message board, listing of accredited schools, traning and preceptorships, product list and an extensive list of links to profession and government websites. By combining proven leaning methodologies with interactive web-based learning, available 24/7 along with instructor driven online courses, we are able to enhance the knowledge and skill sets of each participant.

We provide the total solution for cross training, registry review, educational meetings and maintaining CME for registry status

Principals

Gail P. Size, BS, RVT, RVS, FSVU, has over 20 years of technical and managerial experience in both clinical and private vascular laboratories.  She is the founder and president of Inside Ultrasound, Inc. a provider of Basic Training in Noninvasive Vascular Testing, Adult and Stress Echocardiography Testing, and Vascular Interpretation of Physicians.  Gail's most recent undertaking is the creation of the Southwest Area Vascular Association and the Vice-President and Education Coordinator for www.vascular-web.com; a  web site devoted to the vascular professional as a total resource tool.  Gail is having a great time promoting and connecting everyone together in hopes of creating a stronger vascular technology/ultrasound society and community.   Gail has lectured, authored numerous publications, conducted workshops and has been involved in presentations throughout the United States and Europe.  She has served as the President of the Chicago Area Vascular Association, an application reviewer for ICAVL, board Society of Vascular Ultrasound (SVU)  Midwest regional chapter advisor, Co-Chair and Chairman of the Society of Vascular Ultrasound’s Education committee which during that time the committee authored the SVU position statement “Standards for Undergraduate Educational Programs in Vascular Technology” and served on the SVU’s Board of Directors and is presently the Southwest Regional Chapter Advisor for the SVU.  In 1998 Gail was awarded the Distinguished Service award by the Society of Vascular Technology and Advanced Practice Sonographer – Vascular by the SDMS in 2003 and elevated to the status of Fellow in the Society of Vascular Ultrasound in 2003.

Richard K. Duncan, RDCS, BBA, has over 28 years of experience in cardiology with technical and managerial experience in cardiac cath and echo labs. He developed and became the noninvasive program director for Georgia Heart Institute cardiovascular technology program that gained accreditation prior to the first class' graduation and has been in the education side of the field for 14 years. Rick started Atlantic Interactive in 1997 as a way to help cardiovascular associations get their foot into the web world. AI has developed sites for some of the fields leaders and continues to search for ways to use the internet to connect organizations to potential customers and members.

Rick has lectured all over the United States, authored publications, held workshops, registry review courses, and given presentations for industry and hospital organizations. He held the echocardiography board position for two terms with ACP (ACVP) and with various committees with the American Society of Echocardiography and was also on the exam writing committee for CCI for a term. Rick created Echo-Web in order to extend the reach of training to those that need it in the field. Echo-Web was designed to focus on the echocardiographer offering education and CME credits for registered and non-registered alike. In working with Gail and others on Vascular-Web, this mission is the same - to support the ultrasound community and in particular the technologist.

Gene Doverspike, RVT, has been in the Vascular Ultrasound/Technology field for nearly 15 years. He came into the field through a background in nursing, and prior to that engineering, giving him a diverse background and the advantage of insight into the the broader scope of patient medical care, anatomy and physiology and physical concepts which he utilizes to his benefit to increase his understanding of the relationship between diagnostic vascular study findings and the patients. This has also helped him as an educator to relate topics to his students and help provide a better understanding fo them.Mr. Doverspike has been a staff vascular sonogpraher/technologist in Florida and Michigan, where he was mentored by Philip Bendick, PhD. He has also served as an instructor teaching various subjects relating to ultrasound physics and vascular diagnostic studies. He continues to devote much time to his professional soctieties serving on commitees, performing service work and speaking at the SVU and AIUM annual conferences. Prior to his present employment he worked as a consultant in vascular ultrasound education and accreditation, offering educational courses, assistance with exam and accreditation preparation to various facilities and institutions nationally and internationally.
