Carotid Duplex Imaging: Current Techniques and Optimization

The objective of this course is to provide you with an understanding of carotid artery cerebrovascular events, anatomy, arterial exam protocol, and exam interpretation. In this course you will review the anatomy of the carotid arterial system, understand how to compete a full carotid duplex exam along with factors affecting image quality. You will understand the normal appearances of the carotid arteries and in diseased states. Interpretation of the study and the various carotid endarterectomy trails will be explained.

A 10 question exam and evaluation form completes the course.
(Grade of 70% is required to receive CME credit)
