Case Study: Followup of Known Right Cervical Bruit
Participants who successfully complete the course will be able to:
- Recognize the importance of assessing bilateral brachial blood pressures and radial pulses in the physical exam,
- Examine the recorded ultrasound exam and recognize abnormal findings,
- Understand the physiologic changes reflected in normal and abnormal Doppler vertebral arterial signals,
- Recognize the potential effects of subclavian arterial obstruction on the cerebral circulation, and
- Understand the capabilities and limitations of cerebrovascular duplex imaging.
A 10 question exam and evaluation form completes the course.
(Grade of 70% is required to receive CME credit)
