Cerebrovascular Examination

 
  Case Study: Followup of Known Right Cervical Bruit

Participants who successfully complete the course will be able to:

    1. Recognize the importance of assessing bilateral brachial blood pressures and radial pulses in the physical exam,
    2. Examine the recorded ultrasound exam and recognize abnormal findings,
    3. Understand the physiologic changes reflected in normal and abnormal Doppler vertebral arterial signals,
    4. Recognize the potential effects of subclavian arterial obstruction on the cerebral circulation, and
    5. Understand the capabilities and limitations of cerebrovascular duplex imaging.

 

A 10 question exam and evaluation form completes the course. (Grade of 70% is required to receive CME credit)
