Case Study: Two Week History of Left Leg Pain and Swelling

Participants who successfully complete the course will be able to:

    1. Recognize the signs, symptoms and major risk factors associated with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and the potentially serious consequences,
    2. Understand the physiologic changes reflected in normal venous Doppler signals,
    3. Understand venous anatomy and be able to correlate transverse views with longitudinal views on imaging, and
    4. Examine the taped case presentation and recognize abnormal findings.
