Case Study: Left Upper Extremity Cold and Absent Radial Pulse

Participants who successfully complete the course will be able to:

  1. Recognize the signs, symptoms and major risk factors associated with acute upper extremity arterial insufficiency and the potentially serious consequences,
  2. Examine the taped case presentation and recognize abnormal findings,
  3. Understand upper extremity arterial anatomy and the importance of the thoracic outlet, and
  4. Be aware of the role of exercise on coagulation and how it may relate to this case.
